Batteries Mounted

So last night, Loni and I went in to Synkromotive and worked a little more on the bike. The battery cage is complete, just needs some holes drilled in it for securing the batteries. He’s got to round some of the edges, but the welding is finished for now. While he finished the battery pack, I broke out the soldering Iron and soldered some of the controller (SMT parts). I’m going in tonight, and again Thurs and Saturday to work on the rest of the controller.

I think that Loni and I will work on wiring up the pack, and get that finished. I’d like to put 2 48V packs in parallel and test with the GE controller I have, since I won’t be finished with the Synkromotive Controller until next week. I just want to see it scoot around the block.

Here are some pictures of the finished battery pack, with all batteries installed. We put the fairings on for a test fit, and they have tons of clearance. Its not going anywhere. Click on the pic below for more pictures.
